Pixels, Projects, and Progress: Aditya’s Internship Experience

By: Poorna  |  Added 31st Mar 2025

Internships can be a mix of nerves, new learnings, and a whole lot of growth—and for Aditya Bhatnagar, who joined us as a Visual Design Intern, this phase has been exactly that. From spotting a random Instagram post to working on live projects for top brands, here’s a look into Aditya’s internship journey at Brucira in his own words and experiences.

How Did Aditya Land the Internship?

Like many internship stories these days, it all started on Instagram. Aditya spotted a post on our feed and replied to one of our stories. That led to a quick conversation over DMs, which then turned into an interview.

He had a chat with Siddhita, our co-founder, who was impressed by his portfolio and interest in the role. And just like that, he became part of the team.

Why Brucira?

Back in September, Aditya was on the lookout for a company to complete his graduation project. He came across Brucira and found the team structure really interesting—from creative and product to motion design—he felt there was a lot to learn across different verticals.

He officially joined us as a Visual Design Intern in January 2025, and will be with us till April 2025.

What Does a Visual Design Internship Look Like?

Aditya has been working on a mix of brand and product design projects. One of his key assignments has been with Dream11, where he created in-app banners, stories, inbox creatives, and key visuals for IPL campaigns. He quickly understood that every sport and tournament came with its own set of requirements and visual guidelines—making the work both challenging and exciting.

He also got the chance to contribute to Brucira’s own social media, designing posts for our Instagram page.

Beyond that, he worked on creatives for Porter, adapting designs for Facebook and YouTube layouts, and also created social media posts for CoverSure, an Insurtech brand we recently worked with.

The variety of work gave him a chance to explore different styles, tools, and formats—which he found really helpful.

What Did He Learn?

Aditya came in with a strong background in illustration, but his time at Brucira gave him the opportunity to step outside his comfort zone and explore a broader range of visual design skills. Here’s what he picked up along the way:

  • Working with Real Images
Unlike his earlier projects that focused on vector-based artwork, Aditya got hands-on experience working with photographic content, learning how to compose and adjust visuals to fit different formats and brand styles.
  • Text Layout and Composition
He explored how to use typography effectively, understanding how text placement, hierarchy, and alignment can significantly improve visual communication.
  • Image Manipulation and Photoshop
From basic adjustments to more detailed edits, he learned how to manipulate images using Photoshop, something he hadn’t worked with extensively before.
  • Incorporating AI Tools in Design
Aditya got a chance to experiment with tools like Freepik Reimagine, using AI to generate assets and references. It gave him a better understanding of how AI can support design thinking, especially for ideation and moodboarding.
  • Adapting to Different Styles
With projects ranging from sports creatives to social media posts, he learned how to adapt his design style to fit different brand tones and requirements.
  • Efficiency in Execution
Balancing multiple tasks across projects, he picked up tricks to streamline his workflow, manage timelines, and deliver work efficiently without compromising on quality.

Overall, the internship helped him bridge the gap between illustration-focused design and real-world application, giving him a more holistic view of visual design in practice.

What’s It Like Working with Team Brucira?

Aditya describes the environment as chill, collaborative, and welcoming. He worked closely with Khushi and Aditya Jaiswal on the Dream11 project, and appreciated how well the onboarding was handled.

The flexibility of a hybrid setup was another plus—he liked coming into the office, but also enjoyed the comfort of working from home when needed.

Whether it was chatting with team members working on completely different kinds of projects or hanging out during lunch break games, he felt comfortable and included from day one.

He enjoyed the freedom to explore his ideas, and always had support when he needed guidance—something that made the whole experience smoother and more enjoyable.

Final Thoughts

Aditya’s time at Brucira has been packed with learning, real-world design work, and moments of fun. He came in hoping to sharpen his skills—and walked away with a deeper understanding of visual design, new tools under his belt, and meaningful experiences that will stick with him for a long time.

We’re glad he took that chance on an Instagram DM. 🙂
