Sometimes, all it takes to break the monotony of a regular workweek is a little colour and a lot of clay. On Friday, 11th April, Brucira’s workspace transformed into a hub of creativity, laughter, and sculpted joy—all thanks to Khushi, who turned her long-standing idea into a real, squishy, and vibrant activity we won’t forget.

Idea Behind the Activity
The idea of a clay activity had been brewing in Khushi’s mind for quite some time. Knowing how much fun hands-on creativity can bring to a workspace, she finally decided to bring it to life. From conducting a quick team poll to find the perfect day, to sourcing all the materials—from sculpting knives to a rainbow of air-dry clay—she made sure everything was in place.
But like any great event planner, she had a little moment of doubt. Walking into the office that morning as the only one present, she briefly feared that participation might be low. (Spoiler alert: it wasn’t.) By the time the activity began, the office was buzzing with teammates eager to get their hands dirty—figuratively and literally!
Creating With Care (and Clay)
To make things more fun and meaningful, we decided to draw names from a bowl—each person would create a clay fridge magnet for someone else on the team. This tiny twist turned the activity into something more personal. It pushed us to think: What would this person love? What design would bring a smile to their face? And just like that, the clay wasn’t just a medium—it became a way to show thoughtfulness, humour, and heart.
The moment everyone got their assigned names, we dived in. The table turned into a palette of colours and shapes—our hands moving with excitement, each of us sculpting something unique for our chosen teammate. From mushrooms and pizzas to playful phrases and divine miniatures, creativity was in full swing.
Little Sculptures, Big Stories
The best part? Every creation came with a little story.
- Harsh, our co-founder, sculpted a charming little flower.
- Debashis brought humour into the mix with a playful “I love Biryani” magnet that got a lot of laughs.
- Kathy, our newest team member and SEO intern, stayed true to her food-loving energy and crafted a perfect pizza.
- Lysandra was the only one with prior clay experience, but that didn’t stop the rest of us from diving in with full enthusiasm. She got extra creative—sculpting everything from a cute cat and dog to a toy like face!
- Khushi herself made the cutest little mushrooms you’ve ever seen.
- And Runalsh impressed everyone with a tiny yet intricate sculpture of Lord Ganesh.
What started as a structured activity quickly turned into a relaxed creative jam session. Everyone wrapped up their fridge magnets ahead of schedule! With some clay still left, we couldn’t resist the urge to sculpt more. Bonus round? Yes, please.
More Than Just a Fun Break
It’s amazing what a little clay can do. The activity turned into a wholesome, laughter-filled evening where we stepped away from screens, emails, and meetings to connect in a completely different way. It brought back a bit of childhood playfulness, but more than that, it reminded us how meaningful small gestures can be.
At Brucira, we believe that creativity isn’t just for client work—it’s a core part of our culture. Activities like these help shake off the routine and spark the imagination in unexpected ways. Plus, they leave us with cute mementos for our desks and fridges!
